Happy Holidays Folks! :)
Drummer Rich here, letting you know The CAG's playing Stubrik's Steakhouse in Downtown Fullerton TONIGHT at 10! Hope you can come see us because it will be my last Friday night Stubrik's show with the band. (For awhile at least.) I've been offered a full-time position with the band Eclipse, performing mainly in casinos, 4-6 nights a week. It's bittersweet news to share because while I'm REALLY excited to be working full-time in a new band, I have to say good-bye to The Chris Anderson Group of which I've been a part of since its inception 11 years ago. Chris and Mike have not only been amazing bandmates, but like brothers as well. I'd like to thank you for all for your support these past 11 years, it's been such an awesome experience! :) I'll be performing with The CAG during our BIG New Year's Weekend and a few dates in January as well! All of our upcoming shows for the rest of 2012 are listed below. :) Thanks again folks, I'll miss you, Rich Smith The Chris Anderson Group www.facebook.com/ Check out our Mobile APP: www.chrisandersongroup.rrm We'll have our CD, "Indecision" on sale for $15 at each show, or you can download individual songs on iTunes: http://itunes.apple.com/ or CD Baby: www.cdbaby.com/cd/ TONIGHT (Fri. 12/14) 10pm-1am Stubrik's Steakhouse 118 W. I have blogged off and on about a personal journey I have been on for about a year or so. It's nothing earth shattering for anyone but me. I hate to say it, but I kind of became a cliché. Indeed, I had become that person who needed to find themselves. One of my favorite quotes along the way came from Tolkien, "Not all those who wander are lost". It kind of contradicts my previous statement, well not kind of, it does, because I talk about finding myself, but truly, I knew where I was all the time. Are you confused yet? Think of it as standing outside of your body inside a hall of mirrors. Like a carnival there are images of you everywhere, but only one of those images are you. So you go about seeking the solid figure and along the way you hit dead ends, walls, other mirrors with images of yourself and so on, until you finally stop, breathe and realize if you look at the mirror in front of you, there you are. You stop trying so hard...
