Day 9 of the 30 day meditation. Balancing your Sacral Chakra.

Let's get that motor running.  Today's meditation was about balancing your sacral chakra.  If you go back a few posts to the Root chakra, you will see how you can breathe new life into the second of the seven wheels.  Located a few inches below the navel, the sacral chakra is orange in color, this chakra is the home of creativity, fluidity, sensuality, etc.  When this chakra is balanced, it can bring optimism, security in knowing who you are, positivity, optimism and more.

Today's blog is going to be short, but I will tell you this, I began breathing light into my sacral chakra and the idea's for a new story I was trying to work on, began to come to me.  My writer's block has been lifted.

As always. I'm not here to preach, these posts are for you to read them as entertainment or a useful tool.

Meditation:  do the regular breathing exercises until you are relaxed. Breathing in confidence and creativity and exhaling fear.  Then when you are relaxed, breathe naturally, breathing light into your sacral chakra. See the wheel spinning as if a motor is starting and imagine it getting brighter and brighter. When it seems brighter and balanced, slowly open your eyes take in your surroundings.

Do this as often as you feel necessary.

Until tomorrow...don't be afraid to be you and express you.

Mantra: I choose to be happy/excited.

Hi!  I am back.  I posted my summation blog yesterday, talking about my thirty day meditation journey. I mentioned I would also blog about the daily mantra, but alas, I forgot.  Oops. Sorry about that.  I do believe everything happens for a reason though, after all how could I possibly write two separate blogs, about two things that go hand in hand so well?   I choose to be happy.  I choose to be excited.  I personally feel these two can be fused together.  I mean what moment of excitement didn't result in happiness, or what moment of happiness didn't result in excitement?  Though we usually associate excitement with something big, the littlest of things can also make one excited.   A few days ago, my dad called me up and we chatted for a bit.  Recently back from a trip to Hawaii, I asked my dad to bring me back a pen or two.  I love pens, they are my weakness.  It is also something small when people...

Meditation for a Full or New Moon.

Are you one of those people who are a little unbalanced emotionally, or mentally, during a full moon?  Perhaps you go a little crazy, or maybe you turn into a hairless werewolf? Well, I may have the solution you are looking for.  I can't promise it will work miracles, but there is a possibility it might be able to help bring you back to a desirable level of sanity. Some people don't give the moon enough credit. Sure a full moon lights up the earth a bit more than usual, and sure it might make some canines bay at the moon, but it can also mess with your personal being. Think about it, moon cycles play with the ocean tide right?  Well, seeing how the body is made up of a large percentage of water, isn't it plausible that the moon is also playing with the human body? Throwing it off balance and making you feel not so emotionally fresh? I am not a scientist. I am not a trained person when it comes to meditations, so I am putting that out there now. ...

Why is it so hard?

The simplest question often has the toughest answer.  Twenty years ago I was a size 5.  Twenty years later, I am lucky to even stand in the same room as a size five.  Thirteen sizes later, I am actually down twenty-five pounds from a size 20, to an 18, having ballooned to 250 pounds.  So what brings me to write this? A movie sissy put on about a writer who is overweight and trying to find her way out of her rut is really opening my eyes.  Of course an hour and a half, which translates into several months in the movie, is a lot different than facing this from the starting line. Fortunately I am already into this race. What is hard is having people tell you constantly that you're worth it, but being so lost in yourself doubt that you have trouble believing it. How does one go through life with such a fabulous support system and still feel horrible?  Simple, I am standing in my own way. I have many reasons to lose weight. Image. Self-esteem...all fair...
