Full Moon Meditation Part 2 (Update)

The other day I shared a meditation on how to balance your energy with the Full (or New) Moon's energy. I wrote instructions on how I did it, but I forgot one key ingredient, Make-it-your-own.  That's right.  My meditations aren't a how-to-guide, they are a template so that you can tailor the meditations to what best suits your needs.

So to show how my cousin and I share brain, I told Marie I was going to blog about the meditation I shared with her, and a few minutes, before I posted it, she texted me and asked me if she could video blog the meditation.  I had already sent her notes on how I do it a month earlier, since she and I have trouble with balancing the energies of the full moon and the new moon.  I told her that a video blog would be great and that I thought it was funny that she mentioned it, since I had told her I was going to blog about it several days earlier while I was still in Tucson.  We hadn't talked about this meditation again until our minds came together on Thursday

That being said, I am going to share how Marie took the meditation and made it her own, she even had a little helper, her four year old son Landon, who has been learning to meditate with his mom.  Meditation can be a family activity, as these two will show you in the video. Marie and Landon, Full Moon Meditation.

Below is the link to my previous blog with the walk through on how I do the meditation, but again, keep in mind that it is a template.  You can do it the way I do it, the way Marie and Landon did it, or as I mentioned before, you can tailor it to what is comfortable for you, just remember, whether it is a large circle created by your arms, hands and fingers (think ballerina), or a small circle created by your hands (see the video), make sure a circle is made.  This is to symbolize the moon and will help you focus and balance.

I hope you like this meditation and I hope it helps, whether to balance, or just to learn a new meditation. Remember, as you will read below from my previous blog, this can also be used to help with balancing your energy during a new moon.

I would like to send a special thanks to Marie and Landon for their help vlogging this meditation.  You can read more about Marie and her blogs at Simplifying Mom, and you can check out her video's on her You Tube channel under Simplifying Mom.

Enjoy the Full Moon and embrace it's beauty and energy, and keep your thoughts positive.

Sissy Jo....

Well, it goes without saying that the days leading up to Comic Con were anything but non-emotional.  Is that even a word?  Seriously, my mind lately. Sissy Jo, one of the three girls I call my soul sister, passed away on June 29th, her funeral was held two days before we left for Comic Con. Admittedly, this reminded me, as well, of mama being sick last year during Comic Con, so of course our 8th trip to the 'Con', was a little bluer than I think we had hoped, but we did manage to have a good time, because we know that is what Jo would have wanted.  As we all know you can't make the pain just disappear, or the sadness that comes with losing someone so important and special to your life.  As anyone could tell you, JoAnn was a force to be reckoned with, a little whirlwind of organization, love and smiles.  She loved many who were in her path and she taught us lessons of survival, never giving up and fighting the good fight. I me...

Day 8 of 30 days of gratitude.

Today I dedicate this blog to Sissy Jo.  Today would have been JoJobean's 47th birthday and she lived every moment the best that she could.  I am forever grateful that I spent her last night on earth with her.  It was like old times when we had a lot of Sissy sleep-over's, watching "ghosty" shows, chatting, being sisters.   That night she told me her dreams for me and what she was sure would be my reality for the future. What people didn't see was JoAnn's fight.  When it was posted on Facebook that she had passed away, so many of my own family and friend's commented that they didn't even know she was still sick.  In fact, she was on her way to do payroll when she collapsed, the afternoon she passed away.  She had set-up a makeshift office at home, because her dedication to the work and people she cared about, never stopped. JoAnn was re-diagnosed in December 2008.  She had been in remission for almost four years when breast cancer came ba...
