Leap Day at Disneyland. One More Disney Day. One more day to make some money and one more day for those of us who love Disneyland (and were up to the challenge) to spend 24 hours at one of our favorite places. At first I was nervous, because I was worried I wouldn't be up for the challenge, after all, by the time we left the park, Troy and I had already been up for almost 26 hours (we registered about 20 minutes of catnapping between the two of us during the 24 hours).
It's hard to believe that it has been a week since our foray into sleepless craziness and while I am not sure that I have fully recovered from that fantabulous event, I do know one thing, it was worth it. I have memories, met new people, saw 'Modern Family' being filmed (Thursday afternoon too!), got some pretty decent pictures of them filming, spent the entire day with my bestie since 9th grade and just had an all around great time.
People say we were crazy, and maybe we were, but we did it and this event is something I can say I was a part of. I was also a part of making history as Disneyland topped out at 88,000 people and the two parks together combined for a total of 106,000 people, 66,000 of which were annual pass holders like myself and Troy. Maybe this wasn't the first time Disneyland reached capacity, but I believe the amount of passholders is what made it one for the books.
Great Memories. A good thing to have...! =D
